Seeking adventurous souls to join us for a ‘first of its kind’ trip to a stunning, tropical location in the Azores, off the coast of Portugal, and paddle in the warm water, with coaching in the practical and theory of sea kayaking with two highly experienced and professional coaches from the UK – Alice McInnes & Matt Haydock and local guides Fabio and André from Nelo. Villas do Mar is a small modern retreat on the edge of the Atlantic, at the westernmost point of Europe. Located in Fajã Grande, one of the most beautiful and remote villages of Flores, it offers the perfect combination of contemporary comfort and the absolute silence of Azorean nature.
The schedule
We’re busy coming up with ideas and would love your input… some technical, some exploring, something fun, some racing. We will offer as much paddling as we can and this is a suggested itinerary. (weather permitting).

- 26th April Breakfast – Paddling in Lajes das Flores Bay – Lunch – Guided tour of Flores Island
- 27th April Breakfast – Day tour – Porto das Lajes das Flores → Santa Cruz das Flores → Ponta Delgada – 20km
- 28th April Breakfast – Morning workshops – Lunch – Santa Cruz das Flores – Ponta Delgada – 11 km (includes kayaking visits to caves and waterfalls along the northeast coast of Flores)
