The Islands of Rum, Eigg, Canna and Muck which make up the Small Isles offer the sea kayaker the challenge of open crossings combined with varied and exhilarating coastal paddling . From the rich marine wildlife of the Sound of Canna, sea eagles of Rum, Manx shearwaters and the exposed cliffs on the west coasts. The views are filled with the outlines of the Rum and Skye Cullin mountains.

You should be capable of paddling in winds up to force 4 and we will aim to be paddling for 5-6 hours a day, with the necessary breaks for food and rests.

The trip is fully booked.

To book please use the Contact Me page. A 25% deposit is required to secure booking.

Equipment and kit list

This is a wild camping trip, and you will need to be self-sufficient for the duration of the trips. If you are missing something please get in touch in advance and I’ll try and help. I recommend all kit be packed into small dry-bags (about 5 litres) for going into your kayak hatches. If you haven’t camped from a kayak before I’d be delighted to help and advise.

I’d recommend reading closely my Wild camping kit list for sea kayakers.
